I remember my earlier years in the Faith, shortly after giving my life to the lordship of Jesus Christ, I had countless questions that I needed to be answered. Of course at such a baby stage I was solely dependent on my spiritual leaders to equip me with knowledge of the word of God and how to serve God in accordance with the Holy Scriptures. Ignorance placed me at a disadvantage because I was unable to refute what I was being taught. To be truthful, my first fifteen years learning about the Faith was not proper teaching, I was taught religion. I accepted most of the answers to my questions but remained unsettled in my spirit - it just wasn't adding up; actually it wasn't lining up and not lining up with the Scriptures. 

You see, becoming comfortable with what we know and where we are and what we have been doing can cause us to be stuck right there, never evolving, never coming to the truth. It was not until I was determined to learn what I did not know and place myself in other spiritual groups, and allowing myself to be taught by other qualified spiritual leaders was I able to obtain the proper answers to my quetions. Opening up myself to be corrected from my erred spiritual practices and beliefs were painful in the beginning. So much had to be undone, unlearnt and discarded. 

If you do not want to get stuck, change is necessary. Growth is necessary for you to evolve. Change and growth cannot be experienced unless you are willing to challenge yourself to leave your place of comfort. This comfort can be emotional, mental, financial or spiritual. Upon availing my ears to hear and learn more, I was able to correct the error I was taught and exceed religion. Change is painful. Growth can be painful in the beginning. Change is necessary for the discovery of your true self. Growth is necessary for the discovery of your full potential. Change and growth are necessary for you to evolve. Stretch yourself beyond your comforts and don't get stuck there. 

I would not be who I am today in Christ Jesus had I not allowed myself to undergo various changes through a diversity of training and teachings. I refused to become comfortable with what I knew then, how I was serving God and what was being presented to me as sincere worship of my heavenly Father. The world around us is rapidly changing, and whether we want to acknowledge it or not, these changes are first spiritual. Don't stay there, you must learn more, you must allow yourself to be stretched beyond your comforts, you must seek God with all of who you are, giving Him your strength. If you seek Him you will surely find Him (understanding your God and Creator). There is spiritual power and authority that await us along with revelations of the kingdom of God, unfolding mysteries that have kept us bound because of ignorance. Please, don't get stuck in ignorance because of your unwillingness to change and grow beyond what you know, where you are and what you've experienced. There is a spiritual world in Christ Jesus awaiting your discovery. God wants to empower you to be victorious and successful, but you must first be willing to exceed your comforts. Don't get stuck!
