As Believers of the Christian faith or followers of Jesus Christ, we desire to perform miracles, cast out evil spirits and be used for our heavenly Father's glory. We pray, study the Holy Scriptures and have fellowship with the saints duirng worship services. We establish spiritual disciplines but still find ourselves not exhibiting the desired level of spiritual power and authority. It is because we do whatever is necessary to avoid the process to obtain the same. This certainly can't work! 

The anointing of God which spiritually empowers us as Believers requires you  and me being processed to carry or possess this level power. Too many Christians would do their best to avoid persecution, therefore evangelism rarely happens. Countless of Believers esteem sharing their faith with others as overstepping their boundaries. Until we are willing to address SIN and esteem it for what it really is, there is no need for  us to receive the costly anointing of God's Holy Spirit. You see, dear reader, we cannot turn a blind eye to SIN which is the manifestation of an evil spirit at work, and expect God to empower us to exorcise evil spirits. 

The anointing of Holy Spirit is costly. Relationships will be severed when you take a stand for righteousness. Your character defamed when you address or correct SIN. You will be mocked for your unwillingness to compromise your faith in Christ Jesus. Doors will be closed, rejection increased and many times you will be misunderstood because spiritual things are spiritually discerned. All of the aforementioned are reasons why most Believers are not anointed, they want to play it safe. No persecution, no rejection, no mockery and no relationship issues; but this also means no anointing because of your unwillingness to pay the price.

You see, we have to prove ourselves worthy of Holy Spirit's anointing. We are saved by grace through faith but we are anointed by going through the process. Olives must be pressed to extract the oil. Grapes must be crushed to make wine and you and me must allow Holy Spirit to process us to be anointed. I promise you, once you take the stand against SIN and for rigtheousness, the process will begin for you to be rightly aligned for spiritual empowerment. Once you get it, you will do your BEST to keep it, because you now realize that the anointing of Holy Spirit is too costly to waste.
